Serper

Run Google web, Scholar, and page-scrape queries via SerperTools using a SERPER_API_KEY.

Enable Agno agents to search Google, query Google Scholar, and scrape pages through Serper.

Run the Example

1. Set up your virtual environment

   Mac

   uv venv --python 3.12
   source .venv/bin/activate
   

   uv venv --python 3.12
   .venv\Scripts\activate
   
2. Install dependencies

   uv pip install -U agno openai requests
   
3. Export your API keys

   Mac/Linux

   export SERPER_API_KEY="your_serper_api_key_here"
   export OPENAI_API_KEY="your_openai_api_key_here"
   

   $Env:SERPER_API_KEY="your_serper_api_key_here"
   $Env:OPENAI_API_KEY="your_openai_api_key_here"
   
4. Run the example

   Save the code above as serper_tools.py, then run:

   python serper_tools.py
