Deep Research Streaming (Interactions)

Stream thought summaries and progress from a Deep Research task instead of waiting for the final report.

Stream real-time progress (thought summaries, text, generated images) from a Deep Research task instead of waiting for the final report. Set thinking_summaries="auto" to receive intermediate reasoning during streaming. Deep Research requires background execution, which is enabled automatically.

Usage

1. Set up your virtual environment

   Mac

   uv venv --python 3.12
   source .venv/bin/activate
   

   uv venv --python 3.12
   .venv\Scripts\activate
   
2. Set your API key

   export GOOGLE_API_KEY=xxx
   
3. Install dependencies

   uv pip install -U "google-genai>=2.0" agno
   
4. Run Agent

   Save the code above as deep_research_streaming.py, then run:

   python deep_research_streaming.py
