OpenAI GPT-5-mini

Use OpenAI GPT-5-mini through the Responses API to write a report comparing NVDA to TSLA.

1. Add the following code to your Python file

   gpt5_mini.py

   from agno.agent import Agent
   from agno.models.openai import OpenAIResponses
   
   agent = Agent(model=OpenAIResponses(id="gpt-5-mini"))
   agent.print_response("Write a report comparing NVDA to TSLA", stream=True)
   
2. Set up your virtual environment

   Mac

   uv venv --python 3.12
   source .venv/bin/activate
   

   uv venv --python 3.12
   .venv\Scripts\activate
   
3. Install dependencies

   uv pip install -U agno openai
   
4. Export your OpenAI API key

   Mac/Linux

     export OPENAI_API_KEY="your_openai_api_key_here"
   

     $Env:OPENAI_API_KEY="your_openai_api_key_here"
   
5. Run Agent

   python gpt5_mini.py
