MCP Tools Existing Lifespan

Pass a custom FastAPI lifespan to AgentOS alongside agent MCPTools, whose lifespan AgentOS still manages.

AgentOS handles the lifespan of the MCPTools internally.

Run the Example

1. Set up your virtual environment

   Mac

   uv venv --python 3.12
   source .venv/bin/activate
   
2. Install dependencies

   uv pip install -U "agno[mcp,os]" anthropic
   
3. Export your Anthropic API key

   Mac/Linux

   export ANTHROPIC_API_KEY="your_anthropic_api_key_here"
   
4. Run the example

   Save the code above as mcp_tools_existing_lifespan.py, then run:

   python mcp_tools_existing_lifespan.py
